If you're looking for the best value in GM LSX performance, look no further than these Trick Flow® new GenX (TM) street/strip aluminum cylinder heads. The GenX (TM) as-cast heads feature all of the same goodies that make the CNC-ported heads so incredible--13.5 degree valve angles, decreased valve shrouding, increased mid-lift airflow, relocated spark plugs, improved rocker arm-to-valve cover clearance, and a rigid casting design for extreme horsepower applications--but in a more affordable, as-cast version that flows nearly as much air as the ported heads.


Note: A roller tipped rocker and .100” longer than stock pushrod is required with these heads.

They feature .080 in. wall thickness and are formed from 4130 chromemoly steel. These one-piece Trick Flow pushrods are heat-treated for use with guideplates. They close their tips, and then the oil holes are drilled and chamfered to .093 in. to prevent stress fractures and cracks.

During the development stage, Trick Flow engineers determined that the valve angles needed to change from 15* to 13.5*. This change decreased valve shrouding, increased mid-lift airflow, and increased rocker arm-to-valve cover clearance. Testing also proved that relocating the spark plug position in the combustion chamber further enhanced combustion along with mid lift airflow and improved the integrity of the casting in the chamber area. Trick Flow also added additional material to the decks (.600") and to the rocker arm mounting pads to improve high rpm valve train stability.

These new fully CNC-ported heads feature 215cc intake runners, 80cc exhaust runners, 64cc combustion chambers, 2.040" intake valves, 1.575"exhaust valves, bronze valve guides, and ductile iron intake and exhaust seat inserts.

Assembled heads come equipped with stainless steel intake and exhaust valves, 1.300" dual extreme pressure (150# seat 450# open) valve springs for lifts up to .650", viton seals, machined spring locators, 7 degree titanium retainers and machined steel locks.

One last important feature of this 13.5* head design is the valve drop. This head features a .155" valve drop on the intake, a stock 5.7 head with 2.00" valves has around .150". What this means is you can run this head on stock pistons with large camshafts and still have more piston to valve clearance than a stock head and also more compression.

This head also incorporates a new 86cc exhaust port that uses a 1.600" valve designed for larger cubic inch applications. Combustion chamber comes standard at 70cc.

Port design. Built using Trickflow's newest "R-LSX"
casting. The casting has raised spring pockets,rocker pads,
and valve cover rails to allow for high lift cams and valve
train components it. It is only avaialble is a 6 bolt version.
This head is designed for drag race only and uses our
competition only 55* Valve job and Titanium intake valve.
This creates great airflow benefits at high valve lifts-
(.700-Up). We also assemble this head using the best
components - Victory-1 valves, .800" PAC springs, and
Manley Retainers, locks, and locators. We also can custom
build any combinattion you request too. Options like
beryllium copper seats, Springs-PSI, Comp, Nextek, etc.
are available.
